Rates Information

High Season (30.03 – 31.10 / 26.12 – 06.01): € 90 per night

Low Season (01.03 – 29.03 / 01.11 – 26.12): € 75 per night

Rates are per room per night based on 2 people sharing unless otherwise specified and breakfast is included.

Children Policy

Child under 5 years: One infant up to 5 years old can stay free of charge in parents' room.

Cancellation Policy

Free of charge until 12:00 the day before the arrival. For NO SHOW or cancellation after 12:00, the first night we’ll be charged.

From 01.04. to 31.10.: For all reservation of 4 or more nights or with 4 or more rooms 1 week before the arrival we will charge 30% of total amount (not refundable).

Comfortable rooms with plain and functional furniture, our basic rooms can be situated on the ground floor and come with windows facing the inner court of the buildings or the charming picturesque alleys of Ortygia. Equipped with en suite bathroom, LCD TV with satellite channels, minibar, writing desk, closet and a safe box, our basic rooms are for a quick stay or a work trip.

The old town is a maze of winding streets and small piazzas crammed on to the tiny island of Ortigia. It’s here you’ll find the low-key Hotel Gutkowski, which has simple, stylish rooms and a charming roof terrace where breakfast is served.

Along its seaward side are fishermen’s houses, some weatherbeaten, others restored, like Hotel Gutkowski. It is welcoming and appealing in its simplicity: light rooms, salvaged furniture; and my bedroom has one of those little balconies you see old ladies sitting on, looking out to sea. Once the day-trippers have departed, to be staying the night here feels like a privilege.

Gutkowski definitely has something special. Perhaps this magic is partly due to its name, which comes from the Polish grandfather of the owner Paola, a real traveller. Every day at 5pm during summer, granita is offered for free on a big terrace facing the sea. The breakfast features delicious local and organic products, such as orange juice in the winter and almond milk and granitas in the summer.

Hotel Gutkowski è uno dei migliori hotels in cui sia mai stata. Per prima cosa, l’hotel è bellissimo ed ha una splendida vista sul mare. L’atmosfera romantica di questo posto ci ha fatto innamorare ancor di piu’ della stupenda Siracusa. In altre parole, non vediamo l’ora di ritornarci! E grazie ancora a Gutkowski per questa vacanza incredibile!

About Our Hotel

The Gutkowski Hotel is located on Lungomare di Levante, a promenade on the waterfront of Ortygia (Italian: Ortigia), the small Island that has always been the inner heart of downtown Syracuse (Italian: Siracusa). It is a small boutique hotel made up of 26 exclusive rooms, placed in two late ‘800 buildings facing the sea, formerly inhabited by craftsmen and fishermen, and both restored according to their simple original architecture.
